A Message From the Superintendent 12-22-2020
Dear South Central Students, Staff, Parents, Fans, and Community Members:
A little over a year ago, the world had just stopped. The SCHS Boys’ Basketball team had their chance at a state championship taken away. The Class of 2020 was trying to figure out what to do for their last 9 weeks of school. Teachers were scrambling to find ways to still teach their students, parents were adjusting to helping with their children’s education at home, and all of our students were adjusting to what would be the new normal for the remainder of the school year.
Through the work of our teachers, students, staff, administration, and Board of Education, we have been able to power through the first 3 quarters of the 2020-21 school year and the finish line is in sight. As I walk through our school buildings and classrooms, I am continually impressed by the work being done by all of our students and staff. Our teachers, staff, and administration have continued to work to make sure we are meeting the needs of our students, and our Board of Education has continually kept the focus on what is best for students during this trying year that we all hope we never see again. The community support we have received throughout the school year for activities, and for the decisions that have been made to keep our schools open and kids in the building have been greatly appreciated. This is what makes Comanche County such a great place to work and live. Again, thank you all for what you have done to make this school year successful.
