    Homecoming 2025

    It is that time of year again! South Central High School will be hosting its annual Fall Football Homecoming Friday September 26. The parade will begin at 3:30 and follow the same route as last year and will end at the football field for the community pep rally. The pep rally should start around 4 pm at the football field. If you enter the parade please be south of the swimming pool by 3:15. If not, please come sit in the stands and enjoy as the parade makes the lap around the track and cheer on the homecoming candidates and the football team. The sophomore class will have concessions for the football homecoming-please come and support the T-wolves. We will have the homecoming crowning at 6:30 pm at the football field. Candidates are Mylee Turley, Jayden Boatman, Ana Gardea, Jack Herd, Logan Patterson, Hayden Herzer, Cami Dunn, and Ethan Yoder. Our first queen candidate is Mylee Turley. She is the daughter of Matt and Taffi Turley. She plans to go to school to become a Veterinary Technician. Her escort is Jayden Boatman. Jayden is the son of Tyler and Amanda Brosius. He plans to attend a technology center after high school. The next queen candidate is Ana Gardea and she is the daughter of Ryan and Ivonne Gardea. She plans to go to college, get a degree and get rich. Ana is escorted by Jack Herd. He is the son of Jeremy and Kayla Herd. Jack plans to continue his athletics at the highest level and graduate with a bachelor's degree to then travel the world to experience new things and end up settling down somewhere close to home with his wife and 4 kids. The third queen candidate is Logann Patterson She is the daughter of Dwayne and Tammie Thronesbury. She plans to go to a JUCO, get her associates degree and be successful. She is escorted by Hayden Herzer. Hayden is the son of Kris and Heather Black. He plans to go to college and get a degree for rad tech and to get a Professional Body Building Card. The last queen candidate is Cami Dunn. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Melanie Dunn. Cami plans to become a pediatric nurse practitioner, get married, and have a few kids. She is being escorted by Ethan Yoder. He is the son of Dean and Tanya Yoder. Ethan plans to do some heavy ranching after high school. Good luck to all our candidates. If you want to participate in the parade, please email Nicky Lindsay at lindsayn@usd300ks.com or Laura Valerius at valeriusl@usd300ks.com what you will be doing for the parade so you will be eligible for judging. The categories for judging are

    most spirited-individual and group and most creative-individual and group. There will be prizes for each category. Homecoming Themes for the week are as follows: Monday-PJ Day, Tuesday-Jersey Day, Wednesday-Adams vs. Adam (Wednesday Adams/Adam Sandler)Day, Thursday- Dress Like Your Parent Day, and Friday-T-wolf Day. The SCHS Homecoming bonfire will be at the high school beginning right after the game for the high school students. STUCO has planned some fun activities for the students so we encourage your high school students to come and hang out. Please come out on Sept. 26 and enjoy some football, good food, and amazing students.

    State Track

    Congratulations to this years track team. We had several earn their way to compete at the State Meet this year. Results are as follows: Jack Herd State Champ in Javelin, Hayden Herzer 8th place in high jump, Isabel Hackney 6th place in the 400m, Logann Patterson 7th placce in 300m Hurdles, and the women's 4x400 relay 7th place Isabel Hackney, Gracie York, Logann Patterson, and Chaniell Blundell. Judd Petty competed in the 100m hurdles and Kassidy Lee competed in the womens high jump. Great job!

    Congratulations to this years Golf Team! They placed 5th as a team at the 1A State Golf Tournament that was held in Dodge City. Way to go Timberwolves!

    The Timberwolves fell short to Olpe High School at the 2025 State Tournament of Champions in Dodge City. Timberwolves are this years State Runner-Up. We are proud to be a T-Wolf!

    Substate Champions!

    South Central boys basketball punched their ticket to state in a 62-61 game win over Kiowa County. They will play for a state title in Dodge City.
